How It Started
I did my BA and Master's in Political Science from MGSU Bikaner. The closest thing to code in my curriculum was probably counting votes.
In 2021, I opened an HTML file for the first time. Then CSS. Then JavaScript. Something clicked. I'd stay up past midnight writing code, breaking things, Googling error messages, fixing things, breaking them again. By year's end, I knew: this is it. Political Science taught me how systems work. Code lets me build them.
First Job: Excellence Technology (2022)
Joined as a trainee in Mohali. Built a small online store, attempted a Netflix clone (humbling experience), and solved more coding problems than I can count.
The work was basic, and that's exactly what I needed. I learned how to split a page into components, how data flows through an app, how APIs actually work. But the real skill I picked up? Learning how to learn fast. That one's still paying dividends.
Codesoftic (2022-2023)
Promoted to React developer. Things got real. Built four production apps, including an internship management system with five user roles: Student, Company, College, Mentor, Admin.
That project rewired my brain. When five different users need five different views of the same data, you stop thinking in pages and start thinking in systems. That shift changed everything.
Contriverz (Late 2023 - Early 2024)
Completely different world. Built traceability platforms for the cotton and rice industries, apps that follow a product from a farmer's field in India through ginning, spinning, and weaving, all the way to a brand's warehouse in Europe.
Maps, charts, PDF reports, role-based dashboards for stakeholders who'd never met each other. This is where I learned backend properly. Before this, I was a frontend dev who could spell MongoDB. After this, I could design schemas in my sleep.
Designing Solutions (2024 - Present)
This is where everything came together. Since April 2024, I've been a Full Stack Developer and DevOps Engineer, and I've shipped more in this stretch than the previous two years combined.
PrepVia is the flagship: a multi-marketplace logistics platform for Amazon, eBay, and Shopify sellers. 100+ pages, 58+ database models, and integrations with Amazon SP-API, eBay, Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, and HubSpot. I handled all security solo, and we passed Amazon's official audit. A professional pentest found 8 issues; I fixed all 8 within 24 hours. Zero open vulnerabilities on retest. Noodle Factory is an agent-based AI teaching platform for schools and colleges. Teachers upload their data, and the system generates quizzes, study materials, and an AI chatbot that students can talk to about any topic. I built the full React frontend, including real-time chat powered by Server-Sent Events and an admin panel for creating AI agents, classes, and LMS connections.
MakeMyAISite is a portfolio builder where you paste your LinkedIn URL and get a complete portfolio site generated automatically. We scrape your profile via Apify, run it through OpenRouter for structured output, and build the whole thing. Users can edit sections, regenerate content with AI, add custom sections, and design their own layouts. Built the entire platform without any AI assistance.
DinnerTwine is a club-based social dining app. Groups create events, invite friends, share recipes, and send RSVPs with beautifully designed email templates. It has three panels: users can host events, chat one-to-one or on event tables, share recipes, and earn a free month by inviting friends. Admins manage users, blogs, and guestbooks. Sales partners access a referral panel (admin-approved) to earn $15 per invite with commission history and payouts via Stripe Connect or PayPal.
I also own the infrastructure for all of these. Docker, AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, SES, SQS), Nginx, Cloudflare, CI/CD with GitHub Actions. If it's deployed, I deployed it.
What I Learned
It doesn't matter where you start. I don't have a CS degree. I have a Political Science degree and an unreasonable tolerance for debugging at 2 AM.
Every role added a layer. Basics as a trainee. Systems thinking at Codesoftic. Backend and databases at Contriverz. Security, infrastructure, and product ownership at Designing Solutions.
In 2021, I wrote my first console.log. Now I architect full platforms, manage cloud infrastructure, and ship AI features to production. The gap between those two points wasn't talent. It was showing up every day and refusing to quit.
What's Next
Deeper into cloud architecture, AI tooling, and developer experience. I want to build products that solve real problems, not demo apps that collect dust on GitHub.
